Five Point Program of Animal Husbandry

Following five vital attributes are being implemented while working in Department of Animal Husbandry. (1)Breeding (2) Animal Health (3) Fodder Development (4) Feed and (5) Management.

Breeding: The program involves the creation of high quality and productive animals using genetic improvement as well as new technologies and to increase their productivity by introducing new breeds.
Animal Health: In this, providing quality veterinary services to animal entrepreneurs by taking preventive, promotional and curative measures.
Fodder Development: Adoption of new technologies like production of high nutritive value nutritious Fodder, Silages, and Fodder Blocks etc.
Feed: To promote the production and use of high nutritional value and nutritious fodder.
Management: Adopting and promoting best management practices in animal husbandry.
