Animal feed analysis laboratory
Animal Feed Analytical Laboratory is the only government analytical laboratory where complete analysis of animal and poultry feed and fodder, silage, dry grass is carried out. Samples are accepted from government as well as non-government organizations. The laboratory also segregates the percentage of good and rotten foodgrain samples received from government godowns. The quality of feed and fodder used for animals of production purpose is also tested against BSI Standard values.
This organization collects revenue for analysis of samples from private, semi- governmenta and cooperative organizations. Samples received from government agencies are analyzed free of charge. This laboratory has been renovated under the State Plan Scheme “Strengthening of Animal Feed Analysis Laboratory” from 2017-18 to 2020-21 in which new machinery was procured and installed and a beautiful laboratory was constructed.
