State Level Training Center (SLTC)
Establishment
As per the government resolution P.S.P-1001/P.No.29 (Part-4)/Padum-1, Mantralaya, Mumbai-32, dated 25.05.2004, the Institute of In-Service Diploma Course, Gokhalenagar, Pune-16 was converted to State Level Training Centre, Gokhalenagar, Pune-16 under restructuring.
Objectives
State Level Training Institute, Gokhalenagar, Pune-16 is the main institute of the Department for providing training to the field technical officers of the Animal Husbandry Department and the main objective of this institute is to provide training to Assistant Commissioner/ Livestock Development Officer/Assistant Livestock Development Officer/Livestock Supervisor.
According to the government resolution No. TRG/2012/Pro.No.56/Padum-4 of the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, technical training programs are organized for the technical officers and employees of animal husbandry department as per the training policy of Maharashtra State. The following training programs are organized at the State Level Training Institute, Gokhalenagar, Pune-16 in order to increase the technical skills and efficiency of the technical officers working in the department, to get the latest research information and render more qualitative veterinary services to the livestock owners-
- Thirteen (13) days basic technical training program,
- Five (05) days technical refresher training program
- Five (05) Day Special Orientation Training Program for Livestock Development Officer (Extension).
- Technical Training Program for five (05) / six (6) days under ASCAD
- Three (03) / Two (02) / One (01) Day Training programs for introduction of various new subjects
