(Procedure) :- A central call center is operational at the Animal Husbandry Commissionerate, Pune with the help of BFIL and necessary veterinary services are being provided at the doorsteps of the livestock keepers by contacting the toll free number 1962. The requests received from the livestock keepers for veterinary and other related matters are immediately recorded on the computer system by trained manpower at the field level. The request for veterinary services for timely treatment of animals is forwarded to the nearest veterinary clinic or mobile veterinary team through the central call center. The disease symptoms are compared with the symptoms of 108 animal diseases classified keeping in mind the severity and the maximum response time expected for the disease is immediately informed to the veterinary officer through the 1962 Pashudhan Sanjivani app. Along with this, the livestock owner is informed through SMS about the name and phone number of the veterinary officer who will visit them. After the veterinarian receives this information from the call center, the appointment time is finalized after contacting the livestock owner within one hour. The veterinarian is expected to visit within the prescribed period according to the symptoms of the disease and update the information about the treatment and related matters in the 1962 Pashudhan Sanjivani app. After the treatment is completed and the information is updated in the app, the livestock owner is contacted through the call center and his feedback about the service is asked.
